ShopJack collects information you provide directly: first and last name, shop name, phone number, email address, shop address, and shop data including estimates, invoices, appointments, parts, and inventory records. We also collect general usage data such as which features you use and device type.
Your information is used solely to provide ShopJack services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties or use it for third-party advertising.
Your phone number is collected at signup to verify account uniqueness and prevent duplicate free accounts. It is not shared with third parties or used for unsolicited marketing.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase on AWS infrastructure with enterprise-grade encryption and row-level security policies. No system is 100% secure. ShopJack is not responsible for data loss due to service outages or third-party failures. We strongly recommend regularly exporting your data using the CSV export feature.
When you use JackAI features, your repair descriptions are sent to Anthropic for processing. Text inputs may be logged for service improvement. Do not include sensitive customer personal information in JackAI prompts.
All payment processing is handled by Stripe. ShopJack does not store your card information. Bolt Credits are non-refundable once consumed. Unused credits may be eligible for refund within 7 days of purchase — contact support@shopjack.app.
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@shopjack.app. California residents have additional rights under CCPA.

Version 1.1 — Effective October 2026
1. Platform role. ShopJack is software operated by 7layers LLC. We connect drivers and independent mechanics. We are not a repair shop, employer, insurer, or party to any repair agreement.
2. Independent mechanics. Mechanics are independent businesses. They set their own prices, choose their jobs, and use their own tools and methods. Any "ShopJack Recommended Rate" is optional guidance.
3. Verification. ShopJack confirms mechanic identity through our payment processor and, where a state license database is publicly available, checks license status automatically. Insurance, certifications, and other documents are uploaded by mechanics and are not verified by ShopJack. Status labels on each profile show what was checked and when. Drivers are responsible for reviewing this information before booking. ShopJack does not guarantee any mechanic's qualifications, insurance, or work.
4. AI outputs. JackAI diagnoses, estimates, and parts results are preliminary and may be wrong. They are not professional advice. Final scope and price come only from the mechanic's inspection and the driver's approval.
5. Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. ShopJack does not hold funds. By using payments, you agree to Stripe's terms.
6. Disputes and chargebacks. Mechanics are responsible for disputes, refunds, and chargebacks on their jobs. ShopJack may delay payouts, reverse transfers, or deduct disputed amounts from future payouts.
7. Cash jobs. Platform fees on jobs paid outside the app remain owed. ShopJack may collect them from future payments or suspend the account until they are paid.
8. Workmanship. Repair quality, warranties, and damage are solely between the driver and the mechanic. ShopJack may provide job records on request but is not responsible for the work.
9. Insurance claims. ShopJack does not file, handle, or negotiate insurance claims. Users may download job documents to submit to their own insurer.
10. Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ShopJack's total liability is capped at the greater of the fees you paid ShopJack in the past 12 months or $100. ShopJack is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Indemnity. Users agree to defend and hold harmless 7layers LLC, White Beards LLC, and their owners from claims arising from their work, vehicles, conduct, or breach of these Terms.
12. Arbitration and class-action waiver. Disputes are resolved by individual binding arbitration, except small-claims cases. No class actions. Governed by Wyoming law.
13. Electronic signatures. In-app signatures and acknowledgments are legally binding records.
14. Suspension. ShopJack may suspend or remove any account at its discretion, including for fraud, unpaid fees, expired insurance, or safety reports.
15. Changes. ShopJack may update these Terms. Continued use after accepting a new version means you agree to it.
